State Farm is hiring plans to hire 600 full- and part-time employees over the next six months as it expands to its 8,000-employee capacity in its new Marina Heights facility. Although the facility, which serves as its regional headquarters, is based in Tempe, it’s easily accessible from Scottsdale.
State Farm is looking for prospective employees to work customer service, call center, claims, IT, banking, underwriting, and sales-based positions. Some of these positions are entry level. Progressive Corp., the fourth largest auto insurer in the nation is also set to hire 107 claims adjusters and sales representatives for its growing contact center in Phoenix.
Claims adjusters need to have an eye for detail. Job duties include filing claims, developing relationships with customers, and working their customer’s caseload. Sales representatives, on the other hand, should have experience in consultative sales and the ability to influence and form relationships with customers.
Benefits include ongoing training, tuition assistance, and an annual Gainshare bonus program.
