Saturday nights in Scottsdale is street food night, and the options of delicious entrees and gourmet desserts just keep getting better! You might question the word gourmet when used in the same sentence as street food, but The Lobster Lady is just one of the caravan trucks that will prove it’s so.
The line to purchase a $19 lobster roll is the longest at the Scottsdale Food Truck Caravan and if you want to double the meat, plan on shelling out $37.50 for some extra sumptuous chunks of chilled lobster meat with a bit of lemon aioli on top of a grilled roll.
Grilled Addiction touts everything from cavier to grilled hot dogs and has a knack for offering healthy menu items that are grilled to order. You won’t find a microwave or fryer in this truck! If you are already an addict, you can also catch Grilled Addiction on select Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Carefree outside the lower level of Brix Wines at 37636 N. Tom Darlington Road.
You can find traditional fare as well at VooDoo Dogs with their all beef dogs and delicious funnel cakes! But the Southwest Sonoran dog is a local favorite that you have to try!
There’s Pho noodles, crepes, stir fry, Belgium waffles with homemade ice cream, coconut fried chicken, pulled pork, Kimchi sandwiches and vegetarian menu items.
Trucks come and go, so you are always in for a surprise! For one lucky couple, their Food Truck Caravan went from Saturday nights on the streets of Scottsdale earning a few extra bucks to a full-service event planning company! We lost their gourmet delectables to the mainstream private-party crowd but we wish them luck!
So the next Saturday evening when you find yourself in a group of finicky eaters that can’t decide on just one restaurant to appease everyone’s taste, head to the corner of NW corner of Goldwater and Fifth Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, and make everyone happy!
The food truck craze is here to stay!
