According to an article published in the May-June issue of mylife MAGAZINE, the new PhoenixMart global trade center is expected to generate 10,000 new jobs in Arizona.
The majority of these jobs will be involved with the construction of the complex. According to the venue’s website, PhoenixMart will be one of the largest construction projects ever attempted in the U.S.

PhoenixMart will cover 1.7 million square feet of space in Casa Grande, Arizona, an area 40 miles south of Phoenix and 40 miles north of Tucson. The Casa Grande location was strategically chosen because Phoenix and Tucson are the two fastest growing cities in the U.S.
The area will also have an additional 4 million square feet of office space, hotel, warehousing and retail space. Because the area will be such a multi-faceted powerhouse, PhoenixMart is being described as a “master planned community with plenty of amenities throughout”.
But what exactly is a global trade center?
Well, it’s a comprehensive, wholesale buying venue where people all over Arizona will be able to shop the following “product segments”: Home & Hotel, Food and Beverage, Office and Recreation, Electronics & Accessories, Industrial & Locomotive and Fashion & Variety.
The idea is that the complex will be able to connect thousands of North American manufacturers and distributors in one location where local and global buyers can compare and contrast products from all over the world — and then buy them at competitive prices.
PhoenixMart, as a sort of “mega-center” product venue, will be the first of its kind in North America, but the plan copies other, very successful trade centers stationed in Dubai and Shanghai.
