If you’re buying a home for sale in Scottsdale, or if you’re already living here, you’ll love knowing that it’s one of the best places in Arizona to get local brews and great food. Check out this list of seven amazing breweries in and around Scottsdale – we’ve tried them all.
7 Great Breweries to Try in Scottsdale
This list isn’t ranked in any particular order – they’re just amazing places that are worth a try the next time you’re out and about.
1. McFate Brewing Company
McFate Brewing Company
1312 North Scottsdale Road
McFate Brewing Company features house-brewed craft beer and American “pub grub” that you – and your whole party – are going to love. The environment is classic: It’s warehouse-style with big-screens playing sports, news and everything in-between throughout, and if the weather’s right, you can head to the patio to enjoy your brews.
2. Two Brothers Tap House and Brewery
Two Brothers Tap House and Brewery
4321 North Scottsdale Road
The Two Brothers Tap House and Brewery in Scottsdale is a must-try. With locally sourced pub fare and patio seating in industrial-style environs, this brewery is an extension of one of the Midwest’s oldest brewery. They offer five rotating beers that are brewed right on-site, as well as year-round favorites and seasonal beers.
3. Scottsdale Beer Company
Scottsdale Beer Company
8608 East Shea Boulevard
The Scottsdale Beer Company, known for experimental brews and homemade food, is a great place to stop in for a pint or two. Head brewer Brad Williams has been making beer for more than two decades and uses locally sourced ingredients to craft amazing brews.
4. Goldwater Brewing Company
Goldwater Brewing Company
3608 North Scottsdale Road
The amazing, industrial-contemporary-styled tap room at Goldwater Brewing Company in Old Town Scottsdale is just part of what makes this local hotspot special. They offer more than 20 of their own craft beers, which often include “one-off” brews that they put together on a whim. Try IPAs, porters, imperial stouts or any one of several amazing brews while you kick back in the tap room.
5. Mesquite River Brewing Company
Mesquite River Brewing Company
13610 North Scottsdale Road
Billing itself as Your Neighborhood Craft Brewery, the Mesquite River Brewing Company in Scottdale is a great place to stop for a drink and fantastic eats (they offer a food menu from The Hangar and Giuseppes, but you can bring your own food, too). The MRBC offers blonde ales, porters, IPAs and so much more, making this place a must-try when you’re out.
6. Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant
Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant
18545 North Allied Way
The Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant is located in Phoenix, not Scottsdale, and it’s a chain – but it still offers house-brewed, German-style beer. You can also choose from several items on the pub menu, which earned it an “honorable mention” in our list of great breweries to try in Scottsdale.
7. Four Peaks Brewing Company
Four Peaks Brewing Company
1340 East 8th Street
Four Peaks Brewing Company is outside Scottsdale in Tempe, but everything on the menu is so good we had to give it a shout-out. Craft beers are brewed on-site, and they offer a spectacular selection of burgers and pizza.
