Did you know that Scottsdale has a water rebate program? So you’ve checked it out before and nothing applied? Check again!
As of July 1st living just got easier with new rebate offerings for both business owners and homeowners. Even older rebates have been modified for the WaterSense label and everyone is included regardless of the year your home was built.
How do you take advantage of these great savings? Start in your home bathrooms by changing out your toilet and showerheads. You’ll get a check for $25 and $75 a pop, respectively, and you can change out all of your bathrooms not just one.
But remember, the savings aren’t just in the money you receive for purchasing the energy efficient modifications but the savings continue to accrue over time and are evidenced on your your water bill.
Thinking about turning your garage into a man cave? Add a urinal and get a $200 rebate! Or go outside and pull up that old turf or add irrigation controllers for a rebate of up to $250.
To roll in the big dough you can remove that high-water use pool. We don’t know why you would do this, given the value a pool adds to a home, but if you must there, there’s a cool $1,500 check waiting for you to help offset the cost.
An oldie but a goodie, there’s nothing new here, just a reminder that a homeowner is still eligible for up to $250 for taking out a water softener that uses salt.
Before you dive in and start your honey do list be sure to read the fine print that can be found at the rebate information center.
The bottom line? Save some bucks and save a lot of water!
