The Mission @ Minder Binder in Tempe has a new face lift, and boy is it a beauty! Over the course of decades, literally thousands of ASU students enrolled in the course, Jazz in America for an easy A. Part of the curriculum? Knocking back some brews while listening to live jazz at Minder Binder’s with your fellow classmates and Profs.
Over the years it has gone through countless mini-makeovers and was finally boarded up for what seemed like an eternity. Word was that she would come back to life in full glory, and after years of abandonment she did just that, and we have before and after pics to prove it.

The wait is over so head on out to check it out! They have the same amazing juicy burgers that made them famous on the first go around; this time there is a bit of sophistication in the air and some new menu items like hand-tossed pizza.
What once was literally a pit outback, sandpit that is, has been reclaimed a masterpiece. The outdoor volleyball court is gone and has been replaced by a huge courtyard dining area with paver stones, trees, fountains, built-in fireplaces and fire pits.
But don’t let the nostalgia set in just yet - inside you’ll find the same old footprint with booths, gaud hanging from the walls and ceiling and plastic food trays lined with paper, red-checkered oilcloth.
The days of really affordable drinks with rowdy college students looking for an easy A are over. In its place, a beautifully renovated keeper!
