Don’t miss the annual Street Eats Food Truck Festival at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale on January 30 and 31, featuring more than 50 Arizona food trucks, live music, cooking demonstrations, food-eating contests, and family-friendly activities.
General admission is $12 for adults and free for children 12 and under, and covers parking and entrance to the event. Once there, you'll have your choice of a complete meal from the trucks or a $2 sample. A VIP package is also available for $50 that includes admission, six beverages, four $2 food tokens, private restrooms, and access to the VIP lounge.
Several bars, including the main one operated by Uncle Bear’s Brewhouse and Grill, will also be open throughout the event to provide adult beverages.
Although the line-up is subject to change, except to see food trucks offering every type of cuisine, from barbeque to Asian to cheeseburgers and salads. Some of the trucks scheduled to be at the event include The Grilled Cheese Truck, Island Noodles, the Maine Lobster Lady, White Eyes Fry Bread, Pig Rig, and Pinnacle Peak Pie Co.
All trucks will accept tokens or cash, and most are able to accept credit cards as well.
In between samples, enjoy a full line-up of entertainment, including musicians from the School of Rock, who will perform on the main stage both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be cooking demonstrations by accomplished Arizona chefs including Chuck Wiley from Café Zuzu at Hotel Valley Ho, Bernie Kantak from Citizen Public House, and Rochelle Daniel from L’Auberge de Sedona.
Those that want to be on stage themselves can enter a food-eating contest! In addition to a pie-eating and hot dog-eating contest both, there will also be an apple bobbing contest, a spoon-feeding contest, and donut-feeding contest where the donut is on a string.
