Shamrock Foods has opened a new warehouse near the intersection of I-17 and Indian School Road in Phoenix. Prior to that, you had to drive all the way out beyond the west side of Phoenix to their distribution center, a long trek to get some dynamo deals on the bulk purchase of products at their “will call” window. But drive we did because it was a huge cost savings when purchasing for birthday parties, family reunions, church functions and other large parties where a lot of hot dogs and hamburgers were going to be served up hot off the grill.
And while most of us have our membership to Sam’s Club and Costco where we get some real savings, it doesn’t match a lot of products coming directly out of the warehouse of this foodservice distribution giant.
The good news is that last month Shamrock Foods not only extended their “will call” selection of products but also relocated their hands-on concept to central Phoenix. These types of warehouses typically market to the smaller restaurants and businesses that are looking for a cash and carry option that can be available immediately without the added expense of a delivery system.
In the past, a customer would stand at a window, place their order and wait for the product to be “pulled” and brought up front for purchase. Now customers can actually walk in and see the product to make sure they are selecting the right items and exact quantities to fit their particular needs.
The new warehouse is located at 2430 W Indian School Road and is open Monday through Saturdays, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sundays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Most people weren’t even aware of this shopping alternative, so now you know! So the next time you have plans for a family reunion or a large party or event, the savings just got a lot closer to home. And now it’s really worth the drive.
