Scottsdale area foodies, get ready: Arizona Restaurant Week begins today and runs until September 28th. More than 170 restaurants in the greater Phoenix area, and 12 restaurants in the Tucson area are participating in the 10-day long event.
Participating restaurants in the Valley are offering $33 or $44 three-course – prix fixe menus,” and restaurants in the Tucson area are offering $20, $30, or $40 three-course – prix – fixe menus.” Beverages, taxes and gratuity are typically not included.
The restaurants range from casual burger joints to 5-star establishments. The Restaurant Week web site lists the participating restaurants and includes a link to each restaurant’s specially created Restaurant Week menu.
Next to each restaurant, you may see a beverage icon (indicating that a beverage is included), a “G” or a “V” (indicating that gluten-free and/or vegetarian options are available on the Restaurant Week menu.)
You can read some of the restaurant’s reviews in the site’s Restaurant Week blog, and even book your reservations online.
Oh, and you can still order off each restaurant’s standard menu if desired – you would just miss out on the “special pricing” offered on the Restaurant Week menus.
Why not make a week of it, and try a different restaurant each evening? (Restaurant week does not apply to lunch menus.)
Taking advantage of the great deals during Restaurant Week is a great way to get out of your “comfort-food zone” and try restaurants you haven’t tried before, perhaps outside of your typical stomping grounds. Bon Appetit!
