Erika Lynne Hanson: Future Ecologies Exhibit at The Gallery
Head to Mountain Shadows at 5445 East Lincoln Drive to explore a fabulous exhibition of weaving and how it connects with climate, ecology and human nature. Erika Lynne Hanson, the local artist behind the exhibition, is an Associate Professor of Fibers/Socially Engaged Practices at Arizona State University.
Summer Pool Parties at The Saguaro
Check out the summer pool parties at The Saguaro (4000 North Drinkwater Boulevard) daily from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You’ll hear spectacular local DJs spinning great music and have the chance to enjoy signature cocktails, food and drink specials, and private cabanas and day beds.
Rhythm on the Rails
Rhythm on the Rails takes place on August 21 (and again on September 18 if you miss this one) on the Verde Canyon Railroad (300 North Broadway in Clarkdale). Tickets are $125 per person and you’ll hear several musical groups representing diverse genres – in fact, they’ll rotate through the train and perform private concerts in each car.
Sonoran Sippin’
Sonoran Sippin’ at the Desert Botanical Garden (1201 North Galvin Parkway in Phoenix) is an all-ages event. You can stroll the trails in the beautiful evening weather while enjoying local music.
