Roll Out the Red Carpet, the 16th Annual Scottsdale International Film Festival Is Here

  • 10/4/16
The 16th Annual Scottsdale International Film Festival rolls out the red carpet for 5 days of back-to-back Films on the silver screen. Like last year, opening night will be at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in Old Town Scottsdale with the majority of films viewed in North Scottsdale at the Harkins Shea 14 Theatre.

Whether your preference is a drama, romance, thriller, comedy or documentary, with 40+ films scheduled for this year’s festival, there is something for everyone’s taste.

The gala opening night reception will be followed by the film, Denial, based on the acclaimed book, History on Trial: My Day in Court with David Irving. Author and special guest, Deborah Lipstadt, will be Skyped in after the movie for questions on what it took for her to prove the Holocaust really happened.

All movies are open seating unless you are a member and have VIP seating which is highly recommended! Like last year, many of the films sell out so you’ll want to purchase tickets ahead of time. You’ll want to get there early; ticket holders are guaranteed their seats up to five minutes before show time and then movie goers in the “rush line” make a mad dash to claim any vacant seat.

The 2016 Scottsdale International Film Festival takes place October 6-10 and tickets can be purchased separately beginning on October 6th or you can buy in bulk and tickets can be purchased online now.
