On Saturday, September 27th the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first "Scottsdale Spice Culinary Event" where nearly 20 local restaurants and chefs have been invited to prepare their best spicy creations and share them with community residents.
Area chefs will be participating in the competition to qualify to win a 'Golden Ticket' entry to the World Chef Challenge in Las Vegas in November where the best chefs may win up to $300,000.

The Chamber is hosting this spicy event to celebrate and showcase Scottsdale's rich culture and variety of cuisine. Each chef will prepare their dishes in mild, medium and hot variations for sampling. Patrons will have the opportunity to sample the food, sip craft beer, wine and spirits and vote for the 'best of' in several categories including:
- Booth decor
- Spiciest Dish
- Best Dessert
- Most authentically Arizona
Participating restaurants include Carte Blanche Gourmet Tacos, Hula's, Los Olivos, One Eighty Q, The Pink Pony and many others.

General admission for patrons is $50 and includes unlimited food samplings and seven drink tickets for wine, beer or spirits. Everyone in the community over 21 years of age is invited to attend. There is no entry or registration fee for participating restaurants/chefs.
