Ready to put a little bit more junk in your trunk? Vintage, antique, retro and just plain junk can be found this week at the Scottsdale Market at WestWorld. This annual event is an eclectic blend of estate sale, yard sale and antique treasure trove.
Scottsdale Market
If you are looking for an original piece of furniture to set your décor apart from the neighbors, look no further, because the obscure and the one-of-a-kind can be found among the 160+ vendors on hand.
There are unique items not only for your home and garden but to augment that already fabulous wardrobe of yours! Most likely you will have to do some legwork to find that vintage dress or custom piece of jewelry but that’s part of the fun!
Buyer beware, some of the items have bumps and bruises from their many travails on the planet. No worries, there will be plenty of vendors on hand that specialize in restoration to transform your find back to its original state.
Here are some guidelines to help you determine the value of the piece you plan to purchase. Vintage is defined as at least 20 years old or more, antique is 100 years or more, retro means anything that looks out of the current time period and junk is a treasure found in the eye of the beholder and is priceless.
The best part of the shopping event? You don’t have to schlep your treasures to your car by yourself! The Market has partnered with the Phoenix Young Life chapter and their staff will do the heavy lifting for you! A tip is appreciated and all proceeds go to their summer camp fund.
Tickets are on sale now for the three-day event taking place September 16, 17 and 18th. A map and directions to WestWorld can be found here.
