Help Make Phoenix the Largest Zombie Walk in the Country | October 25

  • 10/21/14
Come out Saturday, October 25, and help limp, shuffle and moan our way to the Guinness World Record and participate in Zombie Walk 6! Phoenix is “dead” on the heels of Asbury Park, NJ, the current title holder of the largest zombie walk in the country. The walk started in 2009 with 200 zombies and has culminated in a 20,000 zombie turnout last year, but that’s not enough bodies for a dead ringer.

No big ticket costumes are necessary, just a great sense of adventure and a sense of intrigue for the grotesque. Want to know how to turn your face into skin deadening, eye darkening and blood splattering beauty? Watch this 15 minute DIY makeup video on how to become a zombie with items you can probably find right in your own bathroom and kitchen cabinets:

But if you don’t have a hand for makeup, just be one of the first 400 people through the door and bring a non-perishable food donation benefiting St. Mary’s Food Bank and get a free basic zombie makeover.

Zombie Walk 6 is a FREE family Halloween celebration. So bring those kiddo zombies to the Lil Zombie Zone for some good clean fun with crafts and games, appearances from the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks, AZ Ghostbusters and the Red Cross Infection Triage Area.

The Halloween festivities start at 2:00 pm with the walk commencing in downtown Phoenix at Heritage & Science Park around dusk (approximately 6:00) and the undead party goes until 11:00 pm with food, music and a costume contest.

So come out on October 25 to make Phoenix the largest zombie walk in the country—we need your body!
