Everyone loves a birthday party and only the bold make it to their 100th! To celebrate the centennial of the U.S National Park Service, they have launched a find your park celebration with a commitment to a second century of stewardship of America's national parks.
We are lucky to live in Arizona and have boasting rights to one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, so we hope you will pick the Grand Canyon for your park!
To celebrate, The Grand Canyon Association and Arizona Public Service is kicking off the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art on September 10th that continues through January 16th, just about the time snow starts to fall in the canyon.
Visitors will get to see the work of 29 artists who have captured the beauty of our national parks throughout the US.

Have you ever wondered what the Grand Canyon looks like from outer space? Expedition 48 Commander Jeff Williams of NASA is not only an astronaut but an artist too! He created a panorama of images of the Grand Canyon that can be viewed at video panorama of the park.
No matter how many times you’ve explored the layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history, there’s always a pull that keeps you coming back to the Grand Canyon.
They are asking you to pick your park and join in the planned events in your communities that will serve recreation, conservation, and historic preservation programs. So if you haven’t visited this majestic expanse of nature, why not make it a party and show up on your birthday and hers!
