Grand Prix of Scottsdale

Grand Prix of Scottsdale

  • 11/2/17
You don’t need to fly to Monaco or Lemans to experience the Grand Prix, this weekend the race comes to you! Scottsdale is creating their own classic car history by inviting car aficionados and racing buffs from all over the country to roar through the streets of Old Town!

This is the third consecutive year that roaring 20’s era cars have closed down the streets of Old Town Scottsdale and touted a party that rivals that of Lemans. The 3-day event kicks off on Friday with a Gatsby “Under the Stars” Gala event at the Scottsdale Waterfront. Step back in time with era music and drinks plus period attire that can range from black-tie to flapper! Tickets are $150 general admission or $225 VIP and everyone gets $200 in a gaming voucher for the tables that evening.

On Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. you’ll get a sneak peak of all the vintage cars! Be sure and stick around for the Grand Prix driver teams meet-and-greets that continue throughout the day.

But the real action takes place on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Be sure and get up early to get the best seats in the house for the practice runs that start at 8:30 a.m. Then be prepared to be wowed when they drop the flags at noon for the first real heat of the Grand Prix.

Scottsdale has emulated the road race design of the original 32-car Grand Prix race in 1901. For several hours, 30+ vintage 1920’s era cars will wind their way through the course in downtown Scottsdale. That’s plenty of time to imbibe at the Gatsby Beer and Spirits Gardens with a weekend drink package for only $40 for per day. Or step off the race course and enjoy the local eateries, shops and galleries that will be offering specials all weekend long. The Grand Prix runs from November 3 -5 with a starting point of 7135 E. Camelback Road on the bridge at the Waterfront.
