Free Admission to Family-friendly Build! Block Party Sundays in July | Heard Museum

For the 2 remaining Sundays in July, you can take the kids to the Heard Museum for a family-friendly exhibit of Native culture, history and art. You and the kids can:
 
  • watch performances of American Indian dancers,
  • view live demonstrations by artists featuring Hopi pottery and Pee-Posh beadwork,
  • engage the little ones in a hands on creation of a BUILD! tote bag or keepsake postcard.
Featured Yellow Horse Dance Group with artist, Lucille Maho, and Yellow Bird Indian Dancers with artist, Yolanda Hart-Stevens, are slated for July 20 and July 27, respectively. Dancers perform at 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. while artisans work their craft from 11:30 to 3:30 p.m.
 
The typical $23 adult, $5 - $12.50 child admission is waived but should the visitor elect to explore the BUILD! LEGO® toy brick art exhibit a nominal charge of $5 is requested.
 
The BUILD! Lego art exhibit will be at the Heard Museum through September 28. This family-friendly exhibit offers hands-on fun for young and “old” kids alike.
