Final Summer Bash of the Year - Labor Day Weekend!

Final Summer Bash of the Year - Labor Day Weekend!

  • 08/30/16
It’s the last big splash of the 2016 Summer and the quest is to find the hottest pool in Scottsdale!

Whether it’s to show off that tanned bikini body or to take the family out for some good clean fun, the pools in Scottsdale are the place to be.

If you worked hard at cross-fit all year, you deserve the chance to strut your stuff one last time and you’ll want to be seen at either, the W Scottsdale’s WET Pool Deck with live beats by DJ Saint Clair on Saturday and The Jump Smokers on Sunday, Maya Nightclub and Pool with a special DJ set by indietronica/chillwave duo Odesza at the pool party on Saturday, or at the high-energy Talking Stick Resort and Casino’s back-to-back pool parties with electro-house kingpin Hardwell on Saturday and Erick Morillo spinning the beats on Sunday.

These parties don’t come cheap so make sure you hit the ATM before heading out with your sunscreen, shades and change of suits.

Families can check out the Westin Kierland Resort this Friday through Monday for their summer’s last blast offering unlimited FlowRider rides! This is an amazing deal since prices are typically $30 per person/per day with a one- time membership fee of $15, and this weekend it’s FREE. There’s something for mom and dad too! Adults enjoy the evening pool parties or evening entertainment of Classic Rock, Pop, and Country & Folk performances by acoustic singer and songwriter Erick Hasbun.

If you didn’t make it to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess this summer, don’t miss the last weekend of the summer beach party at their new and largest pool, the Sunset Beach with over 830 tons of white sand and glitzy cabanas. Mom and dads are invited to escape to one of the two adult-only pools on property for some fun of their own!

Another family option is the 165’ water slide and Surge Splash Pad with water cannons and falling buckets of water, water volleyball and over 7 pools for some wet fun in the sun at The Phoenician!

The idea of being seen scantily clad in Scottsdale is your worst nightmare? No worries, you can still wind down the summer and stay close to home by heading 9 miles north of Scottsdale to Cave Creek for the 18th annual Hawaiian Luau at Harold’s with an imported sand beach and thankfully, no pool. The evening’s highlights are a Hawaiian buffet with a real pig roast, live Hawaiian dancing, Reggae music and to top it all off, tropical cocktails and leis.

And with that, summer’s a wrap!
