This week-end take the entire family out to Discover the Dinosaurs for a day of some real fun stuff! For starts, you’ll head out on a scavenger hunt by tracking the dinosaurs through eight different exhibits with clues to answer your scavenger hunt questions amid the Pachycephalosaurus, Coryosaurus, Allosaurus, Stegosaurus and others.
Or maybe you have a Jr. Paleontologist in the house that loves to get down and dirty? They will love the Dino Dig when they unearth, on their own, some dinosaur fossils beneath layers of sand. Or hop on the back of a T-Rex or Triceratops and take a ride on an animatronic dinosaur.
Other attractions include:
- The Dino Theater for educational and entertaining movies.
- The Dino Den, for the teeny eeny ones to hug, hold and touch over 10 dinosaurs their own size.
- An inflatable jump and play.
- Mining for fossils and gems complete with a head lamped hard hat and gear.
- A mini-golf course with fun facts at each hole.
- Dino face painting.
You’ll want to hold hands as you encounter some pretty scary real-life moving monsters. But there’s something for all ages with static dinosaur replicas of museum quality and anatomically proportioned to reflect paleontologist’s findings. You are even encouraged to touch!
An exhibit of this magnitude requires a large space and Arizona Fair Grounds is the ideal location. General admission is $20 for adults and $18 for children. Some of the aforementioned activities require additional tickets that range from $5-$6. Seniors get in for $18 and 2 and under are free.
This exhibit is only in Phoenix for three days and it’s a lifetime opportunity to learn about our very ancient past here on planet earth.
