Astronomy Evening to Be Held at Pinnacle Peak Park in North Scottsdale on May 3rd

  • 04/22/15
Arizona isn’t just known for its beautiful weather and spectacular sunsets: it's on the map for its clear night skies as well, skies as far as the eye can see.  And, on the evening of Sunday, May 3rd, Pinnacle Peak Park is hosting another astronomy evening.

With the help of park staff and professional astronomers, you will peer out into our solar system and surrounding galaxy, as they point out stars, star systems, planets and nebulae with the help of a celestron telescope.

Novices are welcome and encouraged to bring a set of binoculars to enjoy the night sky. The program is approximately an hour and a half in length and starts at 7:45 pm.  No hiking is required, and it’s best to register by calling 480-312-0990 to reserve your spot. Free parking, free admission and free fun!

Pinnacle Peak Park is a popular 150-acre park with a 1.75 mile hiking trail and spectacular views of the surrounding valley, especially from the Grandview lookout. The park sits interspersed between the luxury communities of Desert Highlands and Estancia and the Four Season’s Resort at Troon North.

A beautiful evening under the stars has your name written all over it!
