8 Halloween Haunted House Attractions in the Phoenix Area

The Matheson Team has “unmasked” 8 of the most spooky Halloween haunted houses in the greater Phoenix area. There are options in this list for everyone in the family.
 
1. 13th Floor Haunted House
 
814 W. Bell Road, Phoenix
Dates: Now through November 2 and November 7-8
 
This is said to be the best Haunted House in the Phoenix area. It’s rated PG-13 in movie terms, as a general guideline. This “intense, graphic, theatrical show” will take you through two haunted multi-level attractions (approximately 60,000 square feet) with lots of spirits, souls, ghouls and creatures to shock and horrify you.
 
2. AZ Field of Screams
 
Tolmachoff Farms, 5726 N. 75th Avenue, Glendale
Dates: Fridays & Saturdays only from October 17 – 31
 
This is a haunted corn field maze “planted over an old cemetery.” Children under 15 must have an adult with them and it’s not recommended for kids under 10.
 
3. Chambers of Fear Haunted House
 
11340 West Bell Road, Surprise
Dates: October 16 – 21 and October 22 – November 1
 
Chamber of Fear actually has 3 frightful haunted houses in one location and you’ll have 25,000 square feet of opportunities for screams and chills.
 
4. The Crypt Haunted Attractions
 
Fiesta Mall, 1445 West Southern Avenue; Mesa
Dates: October 15 – 19 and October 22 – November 1
 
This hall of haunts has three attractions, The Crypt, The Asylum and Chaos (a maze). Check online for a coupon. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
 
5. Fear Farm
 
2209 N. 99th Avenue, Glendale
Dates: October 16-19 and October 22 – November 1
 
OK, now we’re into 25 acres that are host to 5 bone-chilling experiences. There is Chainsaw Mayhem, Descent, Undead, Legends Lalorona, Mouth of Madness, plus an unhaunted corn maze for those who just want a little Halloween challenge without all the fear!
 
6. The Gauntlet at Golfland Fright Nights
 
155 East Hampton Avenue, Mesa
Dates: Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from October 16 – November 1
 
They say the gauntlet is a maze of heart pounding terror and a haunted house with several levels, special effects, animatronics and real ghouls! It is not recommended for people under 13 nor people with heart conditions. (Note: crawling and climbing over objects and stairs is part of the fun so be sure to wear your ‘play-clothes.’)
 
7. House of Screams and Wicked Dreams
 
2810 West Thunderbird Road, Phoenix
Dates: October 16 – November 1 and November 7 – 8
 
This is a story about a man named Clyde Bailey and the murders he’s committed. (It’s all fictional!) Check online for coupons. Be ready for screams and wicked dreams. Proceeds go to Bosom Buddies of AZ and Alice Cooper’s Teen Center, The Rock.
 
8. Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare
 
WestWorld, 16601 North Pima Road, Scottsdale
Dates: Thursday – Sunday, October 16 – November 1
 
Inspired by Zombie’s Horror films, the Great American Nightmare is 3 haunted attractions in one. With lots of special effects, animatronics and lots of live creatures and ghouls you’re sure to have a memorable frightful night.
