Check out this list of the seven best things to do for Halloween in Scottsdale (and note that they don’t all take place on the 31st – some are open before so you can leave Halloween night open for trick-or-treating or other activities).

1. MacDonald’s Ranch Annual Pumpkin Patch

The MacDonald’s Ranch annual pumpkin patch event is open every day except Tuesdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. On Halloween, it’s open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. You can get more information here.

2. Sonoran Creepy Creatures

On October 25, you and your little ones can meet all kinds of creepy creatures that call the Sonoran Desert “home” at the White Tank Branch Library. You can get more information here.

3. Creepy Candy Crawl

Let the kids dress up and get all kinds of loot at the Creepy Candy Crawl in the Tempe Marketplace. They’re holding a costume contest and putting on live entertainment that’s family-friendly and fun. You can get more information here.
 

4. Howl-O-Ween at the Phoenix Zoo

Open on the evenings of October 26 and 27, Howl-O-Ween is going to be teeming with kids’ favorite princesses, Star Wars characters and more – there will be plenty of photo opportunities, too. You can get more information here.

5. Halloween Carnival

The family-friendly Tempe Halloween Carnival kicks off on October 27 this year. There are plenty of carnival games on the grounds, and kids can participate in a costume contest, too. You can get more information here.

6. Scottsdale’s Fall Festival

While it’s not specifically Halloween-themed, Scottsdale’s Fall Festival has plenty of Spooktacular entertainment. Check out the haunted forest, game booths and fireworks, as well as lots of live entertainment. It’s on October 27. You can get more information here.

7. Trick-or-Treat Main Street
