Car Collectors Flock to Scottsdale for Barrett-Jackson and 3 Other Car Auctions

  • 12/30/14
Scottsdale has always attracted big spenders, and there is no time bigger than the month of January for car enthusiasts and collectors--and boy is the excitement building! World renowned collectors congregate under the big whites for a week of bidding at what some consider the most thrilling events of the year: the Russo Steele, Gooding and Company, Barrett-Jackson and J. Levine Automobilia Auctions. Below is information on all 4 of these exciting venues.

Gooding and Company

January 14 - 17
For the past seven years, Gooding and Company has set themselves apart in the car auction venue, with an approach of refinement and high standards, one would expect as much with their offering of a collection of cars across many marques and eras. You won’t want to miss this big-top extravaganza located at Fashion Square Mall, admission is $40; bidder registration is $200 and includes a catalogue, admission for two to the viewing, and reserved seats.

Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Car Collector Auctions

January 10 - 18
Come out to consign, bid and experience the annual Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Car Collector Auctions. This year highlights the private collection of Ron Pratte where the “guestimation” is the collection could possibly pull in a cool $50 mil. Admission is $20 at the gate and an advance week pass is $150.

Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions

January 14 – 18
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction located again this year at 101 and Scottsdale Road - just look for the big white tents. Over 750 cars in the course of five days will find homes to some lucky winners. General admission is $20 with a multiple day discount.

Levine Auction and Appraisal

January 7 - 8
Levine Auction and Appraisal will host the Automobilia Auction featuring collector items from, Hot Rod legend, Tommy Sparks. Better known as the best flathead builder of his time, Sparks amassed over 40 collector cars and hundreds of automobilia items. Bidding on this fine collection will take place on January 8th at 10345 N. Scottsdale, with preview of items on January 7th from 9:00 am -5:00 pm and 9:00 -11:00 on January 8th.

Mark your calendar and head out for some real fun! And you can be sure of one commonality at all four of these auctions; the highest bidder is the buyer. May the best (wo)man win!
