Arizona Restaurant Week

Arizona Restaurant Week

  • 09/11/17
Arizona Restaurant week happens bi-annually and it’s a great way to sample extraordinary cuisine at restaurants you likely would never book for date night. Ten days to hit 100 participating restaurants in the Phoenix area is not doable, but if you eat out every evening you might be able to squeeze a short dozen in over the time period of September 15th through the 24th. There’s a restaurant list for every city but we’re just going to look at some of the offerings in the city of Scottsdale.

Two restaurants in DC Ranch should be at the top of your list, Market Street Kitchen offering a contemporary American cuisine experience and Fleming’s Steakhouse. If you dine in the Old Town Scottsdale area and haven’t tried Barrio Queen, Second Story Restaurant and Liquor Bar, Marcellino Ristorante or the Roaring Fork, now’s your chance.

If you’ve put off making a reservation at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Prado at the Omni, El Chorro or Capital Grille because you thought they would break the bank, this is a great opportunity to experience fine dining for the low price of $44 plus tip, tax and gratuity.

Don’t see a restaurant on the list but want to try them? Why not give them a call and tell them it’s not too late to join in the fun! We wonder what it would take to get the new fat ox restaurant on the Scottsdale list! There are too many fine restaurants in Scottsdale to mention them all so check out the entire list here.

This is a statewide event and there are many cities participating namely, Ahwatukee, Buckeye, Carefree, Cave Creek, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Litchfield Park, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Peoria, Phoenix, Surprise and Tempe, just click on the cities to see participating eateries. Headed to Tucson? They’re on the list too!

Our most important tip for all you foodies is to pick your restaurants early and call for reservations. This culinary concept is a foodie’s dream and is based on a 3-course prix-fixe meal at two price points of either $33 or $44 per person. Look at the lists closely because there are a few restaurants offering couples the above mentioned pricing which is quite amazing! Our second tip is to tip your wait staff! These are often discounted prices from the standard menu and the wait staff will be working harder and for less money, so if you experience exemplary service tip them at the regular menu pricing.

Of course, alcoholic beverages will never be included at this price point and you should ask your waiter if a standard beverage is included in this special pricing. Some of the restaurants offer gluten-free and vegetarian dishes or you can elect to dine off the regular menu at regular prices if you have a finicky partner. To see for the entire list of participating food establishments, check it out online.

If you’ve been waiting to take that special someone for a night out on the town, Arizona Week is definitely the time to do it!
